	Brynhonddu Country House Bed and Breakfast shares Bwlch Trewyn Estate with a working Sheep Farm and the associated 'Grounds' are covered by a blanket Tree Preservation Order.  This was initiated to preserve the wide variety of indigenous and non-indigenous tree species planted by previous owners and we are fortunate to have one of the oldest Ginkgo biloba in the country.  (A pre-historic fruit bearing conifer, having no living relatives and originating in China.) Not only do we have the very well regarded Abergavenny Food Festival each year during September, but the Abergavenny area is renowned for a variety of highly acclaimed good food restaurants including:- 1861, Cross Ash Angel Hotel, Abergavenny Allt Yr Ynys Hotel, Walterstone Bell, Skenfrith Charthouse, Llanvihangel Gobion Crown, Pantygelli Foxhunter, Nantyderry Gliffaes Hotel, Crickhowell Hardwick, Abergavenny Hunter’s Moon, Llangattock Lingoed Nantyffin Cider Mill, Crickhowell Walnut Tree, Llanddewi Skirrid Further Afield:- Crown, Whitebrook Ostrich, Newland Stonemill, Monmouth All of these renowned eateries give notoriety to this 'Foodie' area and are often featured in culinary publications and on TV.  Note that our list is not intended to be either comprehensive or recommended, but is purely for information.
